Refunds and exchanges

Our refund and exchange policies are displayed in all of our stores at the customer services desk. A full refund or exchange will be offered to all customers in possession of a valid receipt, provided the merchandise is returned unworn or unused, with the original tags still attached, within 28 days from date of purchase. Refunds will be made according to the method of payment at the time of purchase. Where the purchase was made by a debit or credit card the refund will be made to this card, provided the cardholder is present and in possession of the card otherwise an exchange will be offered. Because of the nature of some products, we do not offer refunds on underwear, jewellery or cosmetics. This list is not exhaustive and does not affect your statutory rights. In the event that you have purchased a faulty item, a refund or exchange will be processed at the customer service desk at your nearest store. Primark does not offer postal exchanges or refunds.

How can Primark have the lowest prices on the high street?

We can afford to offer our customers low prices by utilising a number of cost saving strategies. We have no advertising costs. instead relying on our customers “doing the talking” about our products. Also, we buy and sell in bulk - Primark has 193 stores in Ireland, Spain, the United Kingdom, Holland and Spain. Our buying power allows us to buy in bulk and we pass the cost savings back to the customer. And we keep our overheads low wherever we can. With state-of-the-art logistics systems our stores have up-to-the minute fashion, as soon as it reaches us.

What does Quality Assurance mean at Primark?

Quality is paramount at Primark. Although we offer great value for money, this is never at the expense of our high quality standards. We rigorously test our products both independently and at production stages.

How long does it take for a style to get from Catwalk to Highstreet?

Once a style is identified it can take from as little as six weeks to reach stores, depending on the style in question. Styles are sourced from all corners of the globe, with our buyers travelling internationally to ensure that you can have access to high fashion goods at high street prices.
